Dictation(ディクテーション) は、音声を聞いて一語一句正確に書き取る練習です。

- 機能語(a, the, to, of, have など)への注意力が上がる。

なぜ聞き取れなかったかを connected_speech のルールで説明する。

Section A — Beginner(基本文・明瞭)

A-1 → I usually wake up at seven and have breakfast with my family. A-2 → Could you tell me where the nearest station is? A-3 → She doesn't really like horror movies, but she watched one anyway. A-4 → We're planning to visit my grandparents next weekend. A-5 → There are a few things I need to buy before the trip. A-6 → I think it's going to rain later, so take an umbrella. A-7 → He's been studying English for about three years now. A-8 → Don't forget to turn off the lights when you leave. A-9 → I'd love to come, but I already have other plans. A-10 → Can you pick up some bread on your way home?

注目ポイント: a few(A-5), going to(A-6), been(A-7), I'd / other(A-9), pick up(A-10) など 機能語・連結が落ちやすい。

Section B — Intermediate(自然な口語・縮約あり)

B-1 → What are you going to do if the meeting gets cancelled again? - 音: "Whaddaya gonna do if the meeting gets cancelled again?" B-2 → I should have called you earlier, but I completely lost track of time. - 音: "I shoulda called you earlier, but I completely lost track of time." B-3 → Do you want to grab something to eat before the movie starts? - 音: "D'ya wanna grab something to eat before the movie starts?" B-4 → I don't know what she's talking about half the time, honestly. - 音: "I dunno what she's talkin' about half the time, honestly." B-5 → He must have forgotten about our appointment this afternoon. - 音: "He musta forgotten about our appointment this afternoon." B-6 → Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. - 音: "Lemme know if there's anything I can do to help." B-7 → We've got to leave in about ten minutes or we'll miss the train. - 音: "We've gotta leave in about ten minutes or we'll miss the train." B-8 → I kind of regret not taking that job offer last year. - 音: "I kinda regret not takin' that job offer last year." B-9 → Why don't you just ask him instead of guessing? - 音: "Whyncha just ask him instead of guessing?" B-10 → It was a lot of fun, but I'm completely worn out now. - 音: "It was a lotta fun, but I'm completely worn out now."

Section C — Advanced(速い・崩れた口語・長文)

C-1

Honestly, I wasn't even planning on going, but a couple of my friends talked me into it, and it ended up being one of the best nights I've had in a while.

C-2

The thing is, nobody really told me what to expect, so when I showed up, I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing.

C-3

I mean, I get why he's upset, but at the same time, it's not like I did it on purpose. These things just happen sometimes, you know?

C-4

If you'd asked me a year ago whether I'd be living here, I would've laughed in your face. Funny how things work out.

C-5

They've been going back and forth about it for weeks, and I don't think they're any closer to making a decision than when they started.

注目ポイント: - C-1: "a couple of"(縮約), "talked me into it"(連結), "ended up", "I've had" - C-2: "what to"(ワダ), "supposed to be"(サポウスタビ) - C-3: "it's not like"(イッツナッライク), "on purpose" - C-4: "you'd asked"(縮約), "I'd be", "would've"(ウダ) - C-5: "going back and forth"(イディオム), "any closer ... than"

D-1 → I gave it ___ him as ___ present. (to / a) D-2 → She's one ___ the best students ___ the class. (of / in) D-3 → You should ___ told me ___ the change. (have / about) D-4 → I've been thinking ___ it ___ a while. (about / for) D-5 → There ___ a lot ___ people ___ the party. (were / of / at) D-6 → He asked me ___ I ___ done it. (if / had) D-7 → It's ___ if nothing ___ happened. (as / had) D-8 → I'd rather you ___ tell ___ about it. (didn't / her)

E-1 → The flight departs at 6:45 from gate B17. E-2 → My number is 080-1234-5678, call me anytime. E-3 → The total comes to forty-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents. E-4 → It's spelled W-O-R-C-E-S-T-E-R, but it's pronounced "Wooster." E-5 → The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday the twenty-third at 2 PM. E-6 → We're staying at the Hilton on Fifth Avenue, room 1408. E-7 → The discount is fifteen percent off purchases over thirty dollars.

注目: thirteen vs thirty, fifteen vs fifty(強勢位置で区別: thir-TEEN / THIR-ty)。

落とした機能語 (例: to, of, the, have)
連結で取れなかった所 (例: "talked me into" を "talk into"と誤記)
縮約の誤認 (例: "shoulda" → "should of" と誤記)
対策 該当ルールを connected_speech.md / reductions で復習
